1 lb. top round beef, julienned
1 1/2 lbs. icicle radish (turnip)
2 tbl. chopped ginger
+ 1 tsp. 5 spice or anise
SAUCE:
3 tbl. ginger wine
4 tbl. dark soy
1 tsp. sugar
2 tbl. sweet bean sauce
1 1/2 c. broth
- Cut up beef and marinate 15 minutes.
- Add 5 spice or anise. Mix well.
- Cut up radish in 1" cubes.
- Assemble sauce ingredients.
- Stir fry beef 1 minute. Set aside.
- Heat wok. Add sauce, bring to a boil. Add turnips. Cover, cook 10 minutes.
- Add beef. Cook 5 minutes. Thicken with corn starch paste. Serve over rice.
