1 chicken, cut up in 8 pcs.
1 tbl. 5 spice
4 c. water
3/4 c. dark soy
1/3 c. sesame oil
2 tbl. sugar
  1. Put water, soy, wine, and sesame oil in pot. Bring to the hard boil.
  2. Add chicken, lower gas to medium for 45 minutes. Turn chicken over several times.
  3. After 45 minutes shut off the gas, let chicken stand in sauce 15 minutes.
  4. Any sauce left over:
    1. Jar
    2. If using 2nd time
    3. Add recipe ingredients to left over sauce

NOTE:

5 spice is used instead of fennel, anise, etc. This sauce is used by restaurants for soy chicken.
