1 lb. top round steak, 1/4" thick
3 tbl. finely chopped ginger
1 tbl. garlic powder
or 4 cloves, chopped
3 tbl. sesame oil
3 tsp. Hunan chili - onion sauce
1 tbl. hoisin sauce
2 tbl. dark soy
2 tsp. rice vinegar
1 whole scallion, 1" pcs.
3 /4 c. broth
1 red pepper
1/2 portion corn starch paste
- Julienne beef and marinate.
- Mix garlic and chop ginger in meat marinade.
- Assemble all ingredients plus 1/2 the broth.
- Chop scallions, julienne peppers.
- Heat wok very hot. Take off stove and add oil. Swish so all surface is wet, then add half the beef. Fry 30 seconds. Reheat wok and finish meat.
- Add scallions and peppers, 1/2 minute. Add balance of broth, thicken. Serve over snow peas.
