1/2 lb. ground pork
1/4 cup finely chopped shrimp
4 water chestnuts finely chopped (optional, makes them crunchy)
1/2 scallion, chopped finely (Don't use if you freeze them)
1 tbl. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tbl. ginger wine
2 tbl. corn starch
1 egg beaten for sealing
1 pkg. shoa-mai wrappers
Mix all ingredients together, if loose add more corn starch. If using Shoa-Mai wrappers form into crescent then fold both ends, wontons fold into triangle then match both ends. Bring 2 quarts water to hard boil and add wontons, cooking for 10 minutes. If steaming cook 25 minutes.
NOTE:
Personal preference is steaming so unused ones can be made into many other dishes.
