3 tenderized minute steaks
beef/pork marinade + 2 tbl. corn starch
2 tbl. chopped ginger
1 scallion, chopped fine
1 c. tapioca starch + 1 tbl. ginger-garlic mix
Oil for semi-deep frying
ORANGE SAUCE:
4 tbl. finely chopped orange peel
1 tbl. Hunan chili sauce
1 tbl. hoisin sauce
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tbl. oyster sauce
2 tbl. dark soy
3/4 c. broth
- Marinate meat. Add the 2 tbl. corn starch. Mix well.
- Assemble and chop ginger and scallion. Add ginger to marinade.
- Mix ginger-garlic mix with cup of tapioca starch.
- Assemble sauce ingredients. Set aside.
- Heat wok. Add 2 c. oil. Heat, then dip beef in corn starch and fry 3/4, turning till all done. Put on platter.
- Heat orange sauce. Thicken. Pour over meat.
Assorted vegetables can be added as a garnish or base.
