1 lb. round steak, julienned

2 spiced pressed bean cakes, julienned
1 c. cashews
4 dried chilies (optional) or 1 tbl. chef chow
1 scallion, chopped fine

SAUCE:

1 tbl. oyster sauce
1 tbl. sesame oil
1 c. broth

THICKENER:

1 tsp. corn starch
1/4 c. water
  1. Cut up beef and marinate.
  2. Cut bean cake in 2 flat sections lengthwise then julienne.
  3. Fry cashews till brown.
  4. If using chilies, soak till soft.
  5. Assemble sauce and thickener. Cut up scallions.
  6. Fry meat, add cashews, mix well. Add bean cake, mix well. Add sauce, cover 2 minutes. Thicken.
