1 lb. round steak, julienned
2 spiced pressed bean cakes, julienned
1 c. cashews
4 dried chilies (optional) or 1 tbl. chef chow
1 scallion, chopped fine
SAUCE:
1 tbl. oyster sauce
1 tbl. sesame oil
1 c. broth
THICKENER:
1 tsp. corn starch
1/4 c. water
- Cut up beef and marinate.
- Cut bean cake in 2 flat sections lengthwise then julienne.
- Fry cashews till brown.
- If using chilies, soak till soft.
- Assemble sauce and thickener. Cut up scallions.
- Fry meat, add cashews, mix well. Add bean cake, mix well. Add sauce, cover 2 minutes. Thicken.
