1 lb. sugar
4 oz shortening
1 oz. salt
1/4 qt. eggs
1 lb. yeast dough (see donut recipe)
flavors (vanilla, lemon, etc,)
4 lbs. flour
3-1/2 oz. baking powder
1 qt. water
- Cream sugar, shortening, salt, eggs, yeast dough, and desired flavor together on slow.
- Add flour, baking powder and water and mix until dough forms.
- Roll dough and then cut until strips. Twist strips and then connect ends to form kruller.
- Let rise a little
- Fry at 350 degrees.
- optional: dust with cinnamon/sugar mixture while hot..
